The NH-D15 is a beast with the stock fans, and 3000rpm means a lot more noise. A 13900K I want as cool as possible since it pulls over 300W I have it undervolted but still i want coldest temps possible im aware of the noise though. The better thermal performance would be lowering PL2 limits. You can set it much lower than the stock ~250W and
Lots of bashing on the two premium coolers lol. I have a Noctua D15S and it's great. Inaudible most of the time. But the absolute key thing is that top quality fans - like Noctua, BeQuiet, and the Phanteks T30 120 etc, make a noise at full power that's much less annoying than cheaper fans.
Solution. #5. It's not practical because of the cost of a 2nd fan - the value/performance per dollar tanks after that, but if you already have one to use, then it doesn't matter. The NH-D15S with one fan is within a degree or 2 of the original. huelen said:
No idea why they even sell this model with one fan when there is another identically priced equivalent from Noctua which comes with two, and the only difference seems to be the color scheme. There is also an equivalent model with two fans for $10 more.
Noctua's White Fans Disappear From Roadmap. And the next-gen 140mm fans and NH-D15 cooler have been pushed back at least another quarter. Update 5/10/23 - Noctua contacted us with the following
Just bought a Noctua NH-D15 for my 5900X. Well worth it IMO My feeling is that nh-d15 is one of the less compelling air coolers to get because the value is a
OQuWj. NH-D15. The NH-D15 is a dual-tower cooler with two aluminum heatsinks and a pair of Noctua's 140mm NF-A15 PWM fans, ensuring superior heat dissipation for a wide range of processors, even those with high TDPs. Its six heat pipes efficiently transfer heat, making it suitable for high levels of overclocking and demanding situations.
Noctua NH-D15 Review – Design & Functionality. This part of our Noctua NH-D15 review is where we focus on the efficiency and architecture of the NH-D15. There were issues present on the previous NH-D14 that plagued users. Things such as no clearance for higher memory, or requiring to remove the cooler to replace the memory.
Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2x NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown) State-of-the-art dual-tower design with 6 heatpipes and 2 fans provides class-leading cooling performance for overclocking or near-silent systems. Successor of the classic NH-D14; more than 250 awards and recommendations from leading international hardware websites and
It can handle either or and everything in between. The NH-D14 was a popular pick for PC builders, and the Noctua NH-D15 is a significant improvement on a design that was already fantastic to begin with. That said, the next best thing, if budget is a concern, is the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE.
The NA-FD1 fan duct kit makes it possible to significantly improve the performance of Noctua NH-L9i and NH-L9a series CPU coolers in Small Form Factor (SFF) environments where there is a gap of 5mm or more (up to 45mm) between the cooler and a perforated top or side panel.
is the noctua nh d15 worth it
