Even though most people consider the Skoda Octavia 1.4 tsi to be the best Skoda Octavia engine, it is not the most reliable engine. The tag for the most reliable Skoda engine goes to the 1.2 tsi model. This engine does not report many issues and it is pretty dependable. How long does the Skoda Octavia 1.2 tsi engine last? The Skoda Octavia tsi
This 1.0L TSI looks tiny inside the Polo's engine bay, which now has so much of empty space. Make no mistake though, it packs a punch! It has taken Volkswagen 5 years to introduce an updated TSI engine in India! The 1.0 TSI belongs to the EA-211 family of engines, introduced with a view to replace the old & ageing EA-111 TSI motors.
As you say, there are plenty of four-wheel-drive estates on the market, but not many of those are available with a petrol engine and a manual gearbox. You don't mention your budget, but one option that springs to mind is the Skoda Octavia Scout. This was available with the 1.8-litre TSI engine, which provides 160PS and useful performance.
My wife is thinking of buying a Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI with a manual gearbox and wants a car for up to 10 years although the mileage will not be high at around 7000 miles annually. Probably looking at a 2015 registered model. I have read that there have been quite a few low mileage problems, especially around the cam chain. I wanted to know if the engine was modified and if 2015 models are more
We recommend an oil change for this engine every 15,000 kilometers. It is also advisable to have the compression checked every 50,000 kilometers. 1.2 TSI problems can also occur due to frequent short trips. The engine is then not properly brought up to operating temperature and is therefore only moved when it is cold.
I had 3 Toledos and 1 Rapid with 1.2 engines (in various forms) and a 1.0 TSI as well. All the engines were economical and reliable. The 1.2s were marginally more refined than the 1.0 but the 1.0 was slightly more powerful and with more usable torque. If you buy any of the engine versions you will not be disappointed as they are all excellent.
HZvMXvO. There were some hideous reliability problems with the 180bhp 1.4, not affected the 1.2 AFAIK. Had a 1.2 tsi in a golf and thought the engine was superb really linear in its power delivery if
It runs the same 115hp and 178Nm, three-cylinder, 1.0-litre, direct-injection, TSI turbo-petrol unit as the Virtus 1.0 TSI AT we’ve featured before, albeit with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The 2.5L is definitely the most reliable engine in my book (264k mi on an all original engine/trans obviously other than accessory belts/pulleys and a valve cover for my 09’ rabbit). I don’t know the efficiency of the vr6 but the 2.5L is far from efficient for what it is, but it more than makes up for that with reliability!
VW Group TSI engine chain failures - RT. Responsible manufacturers just quietly get on with replacing items under warranty - BMW went through a phase of cylinder coatings failing due to Q&R testing on German fuel only, which is marginally different to UK fuel despite both meeting EU standards - the coating specification was changed in
Model: Fabia Break Elegance 2010, 1.2 TSI. Author. Posted 20 December, 2013. Well, just to update it seems my complaining had some effect, because the importer has increased the discount on the reconditioned engine to 50%, bringing the cost down to about 2000 euros.
is the 1.2 tsi engine reliable
