Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series was clunky, primitive, and the best we had back then, Force Unleashed was ridiculous over-the-top power fantasy, KotOR was a pure RPG, and other games like Battlefront that let you dabble as a Jedi only have it there as a sideshow.

It was spammed everywhere during the No Man's Sky debacle and I don't see how it can be used in terms to Fallen Order. While I'd personally give this game a 7/10 (that means very good in my book), it's one of the better games this year. It's definitely up there with the best Star Wars games and it's still pretty fun to play.

Haven't read the body of the OP's post (because spoilers), but right now Star Wars is on a roll. The Mandalorian has proven to be a success and now Jedi: The Fallen Order offers (or is offering--because I haven't finished it) a fantastic new entry. All this being said: If the next Star Wars movie doesn't knock it out of the box, it'd be a shame.
